The meeting made it possible to share the research carried out and to address the final phase of the project<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The Innotub II project is entering its final stretch, in which the first significant research results are beginning to emerge. Members of the five research institutions involved in the project (NEIKER<\/a>, Anses<\/a>, ENVT<\/a>, IRTA-CReSA<\/a> and UAB<\/a>) presented the main advances in the project\u2019s key actions and jointly discussed the preliminary results and the work plan for the remaining months.<\/p>\n\n

On the one hand, members from ENVT and UAB mainly discussed biosafety, surveillance and risk analysis, comparing their respective research in order to identify synergies and differences in the specific situations of each regional context. Meanwhile, members from NEIKER, Anses and IRTA-CReSA focused, on the one hand, on research into transmission and phylodynamics, and on the other, on the development of new diagnostic tools and new vaccines for the control of tuberculosis.<\/p>\n\n

During the coordination meeting, held in Bellaterra on 26\u201327 February and organised by IRTA-CReSA and the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona, the partners also reviewed the status of the joint work plan, including the responsibilities of each institution, and presented an update on the project\u2019s communication activities. Among the future actions, the partners agreed to set the date for the closing event of the Innotub II project, which will take place towards the end of the year in the Basque Country.<\/p>\n\n

The meeting also included opportunities to strengthen ties between members of the different institutions and to hold informal conversations bringing together researchers from the various centres.
