Mission

The mission of the INNOTUB project is to create a scientific network of excellence to improve the control and surveillance of tuberculosis in livestock and wildlife in the trans-Pyrenees region. 
INNOTUB integrates different research centers, universities and other public bodies in the cross-border region between Spain and France, with the support and collaboration of the livestock authorities, to achieve the following objectives: 
To study the transmission of tuberculosis between livestock and wildlife
Risk factors and biosafety measures assessment that include the protection facilities to reduce the risk of infection 
To inform cattle ranchers about disease prevention and detection measures
To promote communication between ranchers and veterinarians to strengthen TB control activities  
To develop innovative control and diagnostic tools 
To transfer solutions and innovations in the field of tuberculosis risk prevention to policy makers, animal health and public health professionals, production chains and the general public
